Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026. This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used on Vinyl Classics, what each one does, and how you can change your preferences.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a site. We also use closely-related technologies such as local storage and pixel tags. For brevity we refer to all of them as “cookies” on this page.
2. The cookies we use
The table below lists every cookie set by this site, grouped by category. Strictly-necessary cookies are always loaded; analytics and marketing cookies only load after you have given consent through the banner.
3. Strictly-necessary cookies
These are required for the site to work. They are always loaded and do not require consent under GDPR / ePrivacy. Disabling them in your browser will break the cart and login.
4. Analytics cookies (consent-gated)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use them to count anonymous visits and understand which releases and pages perform well. Data is aggregated and IP addresses are truncated where the provider supports it. We never use analytics cookies for advertising.
5. Marketing cookies (consent-gated)
If you accept marketing cookies, we may load pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, or Google Ads to measure ad performance and show you releases that match your interests. These pixels send your IP, page URL, and product/order events to the respective platforms. They are not loaded unless you have explicitly consented.
6. Changing your preferences
You can change your consent at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or by clearing the sonik_consent cookie. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies entirely from their settings — note that doing so may break the cart and login.
7. Third-party services
Embedded YouTube and Soundcloud players (used for track previews) set their own cookies when you start playback. We lazy-load these so nothing is sent to them until you press play. Their cookie policies apply: Google, Soundcloud.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies should go to the email listed in our Privacy Policy.
